On October 19, 2021, Jeffrey Lynn Bruning, better known as "Jeff," departed this life for a long awaited reunion with his parents, his youngest daughter, and other loved ones, as a result of complications following heart surgery.

Born June 1, 1960 in Boise, Idaho, Jeff started school in Boise and eventually graduated from Orem High School in 1978. Following a mission to Germany, he married his sweetheart Marilyn in April 1987, in the Provo Temple. The union produced three daughters, two sons-in-law and one grandchild, though, reportedly, other grandchildren are being contemplated.

Naturally, Jeff was broadly loved by relatives, friends, neighbors, business associates, and the members of a student ward at BYU, where he served in the bishopric. Starting in the software business, eventually Marilyn and Jeff jointly operated an events management business, with contacts and relationships across the country and around the world. Jeff was a devoted son, the best brother, a beloved husband, in the front rank of fathers, the finest of friends, and an expert at communicating his love to tiny grandchildren. His absence will be keenly felt by all those who knew and loved him.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Marilyn Bruning, by his daughter Sydney Taylor Bruning, and by his son-in-law Philip Gorst.

Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1050 East 100 North, Lindon on Wednesday, October 27, at 10 am. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday October 26, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the church. Interment and dedication of the grave immediately following at the Orem City Cemetery.
