IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jessie Miguel Paul
Salazar
May 23, 1977 – May 25, 2021
Jessie Miguel Paul Salazar, son of James Edward Salazar and Joy Brenda Ford-Salazar passed away peacefully May 25th, 2021 surrounded by family and loved ones. Jessie passed away as a result of injuries sustained in an auto pedestrian accident on May 18th, 2021.
Jess was born May 23rd, 1977 in Colorado Springs, Co. He and his family moved to Provo, UT in 1984 where he attended local schools. He was also a Provo High Bulldog where he made and built many lasting friendships. Jess would go on to earn his Associates Degree in Business Management from UVSC.
He started out in the carpentry field at the age of 16 and continued to hone his skills and craftsmanship as he worked to achieve the level of a master carpenter. Jessie was very detail oriented and always took pride in his work. Carpentry, wood working, and custom home building was something he was very passionate about and loved to dedicate his time and talents towards.
Jess was currently working with his life-long friend Wade Tobiasson on custom home project's doing what he loved to do. He and Wade were very close, and Jess always appreciated the love and support Wade showed him, even when the going got tough. Jess considered Wade one of his closest friends and viewed him as a family member and as a brother. Jess was very fortunate to have Wade as one of those by his side in his final moments.
Jessie proudly served his country with honor as a United States Marine from 2004-2010 and was a veteran of the Iraq War. During his military service and career, he would achieve the rank of sergeant.
Jess was an avid outdoorsman and loved camping, hiking, fishing and enjoying mother nature with friends and family. Some of his favorite adventures were to the Uintah Mountains; where he particularly enjoyed his Lake Washington trips with some of his closest and oldest buddies.
He also loved cooking and gardening and considered himself quite a "foodie" with one hell of a green thumb. He could often be found in the garden with his Mother, Joy harvesting tomatoes, green chilies, peppers and strawberries.
Jessie was a man of adventure and loved traveling. Some of the places he visited were the British Isles, Holland, many parts of the Middle East, and he was looking forward to seeing Japan someday. He had also traveled all over the United States on many adventures.
Jessie was loved by many and will be sorely missed by friends and family. Jessie is survived by Father: James E. Salazar, Mother: Joy B. Ford-Salazar, Brothers: James G.
