Jesús "Chuy" Arrieta, 81, falleció el miércoles, 5 de julio de 2023.

"Chuy" nació el 7 de noviembre de 1941 en Colonia Nuevas Delicias, Chihuahua México. Hijo de Martín Arrieta y Guadalupe Montana, y hermano de seis.

En 1969, Chuy contrajo matrimonio con Soledad Aragón con quien tuvo cuatro hijas: Lupita, Emis, Claris y Diana "Lilly". Las alegrías más grandes de su vida fueron a lado de su creciente familia, y siempre gozó de pasar momentos junto a ellos en diferentes actividades y viajes.

Chuy dedicó la mayor parte de su vida en el campo donde disfrutó de los frutos de su trabajo como agricultor y ganadero. En este ambiente, Chuy tuvo oportunidad de desarrollar un gusto particular por los caballos.

En 1996, Chuy cumplió uno de sus sueños al viajar a Estados Unidos de América; y desde entonces, dividió su tiempo y corazón entre ambos países vecinos. Finalmente, en 2020 decidió emigrar definitivamente a Estados Unidos en donde tuvo oportunidad de pasar más tiempo con sus queridas hijas y nietos.

Chuy será recordado por familia y amigos como un hombre generoso y caritativo que hallaba gozo al dar de sus recursos a los menos afortunados, especialmente a los niños huérfanos. Fue un hombre sencillo que disfrutaba de las cosas simples, como escuchar y cantar su música y canciones favoritas. Chuy fue un hombre fuerte que enfrentó diferentes adversidades; sin embargo, supo siempre ver el lado alegre y positivo de la vida aún en sus momentos más difíciles y hasta el final de su vida. Sin duda, su mayor cualidad fue el ser un hombre muy amoroso.

Don Chuy falleció en paz rodeado de sus seres queridos. Le sobreviven su esposa, sus hijas, tres yernos, diez nietos y cuatro bisnietos.

Su velorio se llevará a cabo el miércoles 12 de julio de 10:00 am a 11:30 am en Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 E 800 N, Orem, Utah. Misa en su honor de 12:00 pm a 1:30 pm en la Iglesia Católica Saint Francis of Assisi, 65 E 500 N, Orem. A lo cual le seguirá la inhumación en Timpanogos Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Jesús "Chuy" Arrieta, 81, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.

"Chuy" was born on November 7, 1941 in Colonia Nuevas Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico. He is the son of Martín Arrieta and Guadalupe Montana and the brother of six siblings.

In 1969, Chuy married Soledad Aragón, and they were blessed with four daughters: Lupita, Emis, Claris, and Diana "Lilly". The greatest joys of his life were together with his growing family with whom he constantly enjoyed spending time on different activities and trips.

Chuy spent most of his life in the fields, where he enjoyed the fruits of his labor as a farmer and rancher. In this environment, Chuy developed a special love for horses.

In 1996, Chuy fulfilled one of his dreams by traveling to the United States of America; and since then, he split his time and love between both neighboring countries. Finally, in 2020, he decided to move permanently to the United States, where he had the opportunity to spend more time with his beloved daughters and grandchildren.

Family and friends will remember Chuy as a generous and charitable man who found joy in giving resources to those less fortunate, especially orphaned children. He was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life, like listening to and singing his favorite music and songs. Chuy was a strong man who faced different adversities; however, he always knew how to keep a happy and positive perspective even during his most difficult moments and until the end of his life. Above all, Chuy was a very loving man.

Don Chuy passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his wife, daughters, three sons-in-law, ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 12, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 E 800 N, Orem, Utah. Mass in his honor from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 65 E 500 N, Orem. Burial will follow in the Timpanogos Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
