Obituary

Jiyon Park Grimmer, aged 45, passed away on November 6, 2024, in Orem, Utah. Born on April 2, 1979, Jiyon was a cherished presence in the lives of those around her, known for her determination and intelligence.

A graduate of Skyline High School, Jiyon pursued her passion for science and healthcare at the University of Utah, where she earned a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree. She dedicated her career to pharmacy, working in both clinical and retail settings, where she was respected for her expertise and compassion.

Jiyon was a beloved wife to Justin Grimmer and a devoted mother to Claire and Aidon. She is also survived by her mother, Hyun Sook Hwang; step-father, James McMurray; and brother, Ash McMurray.

Her hobbies included home decoration and crafting, as well as a keen interest in nutrition and exercise, reflecting her lifelong commitment to wellbeing.

Jiyon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she found a community of faith that mirrored her own values of service and kindness.

Her life was a testament to her roles as a wife, daughter, mother, and professional. Her absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
