Jocelyn Kingdon Howard, 79, of Orem, passed away and went to be with her Savior on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023.

She was born on July 25th, 1944, in Seattle WA to Earl Goss Kingdon and Helen Parratt Kingdon.

Jocelyn's voyage exploring this world started early. Born to an Army family, she relocated often, including South Korea, Chicago IL, Staten Island NY, and Berkeley CA.

She married Donald H. Howard of Marsing ID, in June 1965 and together raised four sons. A BYU graduate, by 1979 she started 25 years of dedicated service as a Special Education teacher at Valley View Elementary in Pleasant Grove UT.

She was a loving, caring mother, and was also well known as a cheerful friend and neighbor who will be missed by all she knew. A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she spent decades helping others and serving Jesus Christ.

Jocelyn was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Eugene and Richard Kingdon, ex-husband Donald Howard, and eldest son, David Howard.

She is survived by her sister Sharon Moran of Pahrump NV, Brian Howard of Phoenix AZ, Eric Howard (LeAnn) of Orem, Rob Howard (Michelle) of Boise ID, and 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

There will be a public viewing Thursday, September 14th from 7 to 8:30 pm at Walker Sanderson funeral home, 646 East 800 North, Orem.

Another public viewing will take place Friday, September 15th from 9 to 10 am at 365 South 900 East, Orem, with her celebration service following at 10:30 am. Interment will be at Eastlawn Memorial Hills Garden Cemetery, Provo.

Family members request donations instead of flowers to her favorite charities: LDS Perpetual Education Fund or Primary Children's Medical Center.
