Jose Rolando Cordova Sr., age 70, returned home to his loving Heavenly Father and was reunited with his son on Monday, October 25, 2021.

Our beloved Papa Joe, was a man filled with love and humor. He spent countless years serving the Lord in the Manhattan, NY and Provo, UT temples.

He is survived by his loving wife Elena, daughter Martha Gutierrez, sister Ana Mabel Rodriguez, grandchildren: Alexsa, Emily, Kenneth and Benjamin, great grandson Morgan; and dogs Charlie and Duke.

His life will be remembered as a life full of service. He loved his family with everything he had. He grew up in San Salvador, El Salvador and came to the United States with the dream to create a better life for his wife and children and he made it happen. He loved horses, dogs, and birds. He loved music, movies, and game shows. He danced to his heart's content no matter the occasion. He lived.

Funeral services will be held Friday November 5, 2021 at 11am in the Grandview LDS chapel (1122 Grand Avenue Provo, UT 84604). Viewings will be held Thursday November 4, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00pm and Friday from 9:45-10:45am prior to services, both at the church.

The burial will take place at the Provo City Cemetery immediately following the funeral services.
