Joseph was born April 29, 1936 in Worcester, MA and passed away early morning of January 12, 2018 in Provo, UT. Joe was surrounded by family and friends that loved him dearly. Joe served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1955- 1961 where he earned the ranking of Sergeant in 1958. Joe never missed an Emblem meeting after his time in the service. Over his time, Joe worked at Pratt-Whitney as an engineer/ hydraulics mechanic and many jobs in between. His last job was Ethel M. Chocolates in Henderson, NV where he worked as a forklift operator. Joe made friends wherever he went. Joe is remembered as a fun-loving character that brought a ray of sunshine to everyone he met. His personality was one that many enjoyed, there wasn't a time that he didn't lighten a mood or touch someone's heart. His dear friends Matt & Diane Pacillo watched over Joe while living in Las Vegas, NV. Joe enjoyed going to the San Gennaro festival with Matt & Diane, and was also a regular throughout town. He spent enough time at The Longhorn Casino, Arizona Charlie's, and the Cannery where he was known on a first name basis. No matter who he meet, Joe always left them with a memory and they never forgot who he was. He is survived by his siblings and children, Johnny Giannette (brother, MA), Rosemarie Fitzgerald (sister, MA), Marian Giannette (sister, MA) April Light (daughter, AZ), and Joe (son, CA), along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by Raffaele Giannetta (father), Palmina Cancelmo Giannetta (mother), Frank Giannette (brother), Richard Giannetta (brother), Robert Giannetta (brother), Ralph Giannette (brother), and Sherrie Reva Giannette (sister in-law). Services are to be held March 2, 2018, 2:00 p.m, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr., Boulder City, NV 89005.
