Obituary

Judith Lynn Richardson Garrison November 2, 1935-September 4, 2021 Judith Lynn Richardson Garrison, 85, passed away on September 4, 2021 in Highland Utah. She was born November 2, 1935 in Longview Washington, a daughter to Bertram Haldon Richardson and Laurice Hilma Burch. Judy was raised on a dairy farm in Skamokawa Washington, attended Skamokawa Grade School and Wahkiakum High School. She received a Bachelors Degree from Brigham Young University in 1958. While in college she toured with BYU program bureau playing the accordion. She married Roy Dale Garrison from Burlington, IA on June 5, 1959 in Salt Lake City, UT. They moved to the Astoria, OR area in 1969 and raised their four children in Olney, OR where she lived for 22 years. Judy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in various capacities. She worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses and the Olney School District. Her interests included sewing, playing the piano, organ, accordion, involvement with the Boy Scouts of America and 4-H clubs. She is survived by four children; Mark Garrison (Lezlie) of American Fork, UT, Kirk Garrison (Gina) of St. Helens OR, Dayna Ferrero (Peter) of Boise ID, and Dawna Gillespie (John) of American Fork, UT. Sisters: Laureen Jaussi (August) of St. George, UT; Karen Tarbet (Floyd) of Sandy, UT; Gail Barney (Denton) of Las Vegas, NV. Survivors also include 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11 am at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, UT. Family and friends may attend a viewing that morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. A live webcast of the services will be available on www.walkersanderson.com and selecting view live webcast. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Cathlamet, WA on September 18, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian or General Missionary Fund.
