Judy Hatch Tiberius
April 13, 1939 – July 11, 2026
With grateful hearts for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, and friend, Judy Hatch Tiberius, who returned to her Heavenly Father on July 11, 2026, in Provo, Utah, at the age of 87.
Judy was born on April 13, 1939, in Woods Cross, Utah, where she was lovingly raised by her grandparents. From those humble beginnings grew a woman whose life would become a remarkable example of faith, strength, compassion, and unwavering love.
She married the love of her life, Dennis Eugene Tiberius, and together they built a home where family was everything. Judy’s greatest joy was being a mother to her eleven children: Tony Martin (Amethia), Troy Martin, Trent Martin (Suzy), Trace Tiberius (Karen), Todd Martin-Tiberius (Annie), Tiffany Earl (Dallas), Charles Tiberius (Anna Marie), Tim Tiberius (Brandi), Anna Knowles (John), Leah Tiberius, and Tyler Tiberius (Audrey).
Her family continued to grow, and she delighted in her 50 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy. She had a remarkable gift for making every member of her family feel loved, seen, and important.
To know Judy was to know sunshine. Her radiant smile could brighten any room, and her warmth put everyone at ease. She possessed profound wisdom, remarkable intelligence, and a generous heart. She loved freely and completely, extending kindness not only to family but to friends, neighbors, and strangers alike. Her love was genuine, abundant, and unconditional.
While her most cherished role was that of wife and mother, Judy was also an accomplished businesswoman along side her husband, Dennis. During her forties she owned and operated a successful marketing and advertising business in Chicago, demonstrating both creativity and determination while balancing the demands of raising a large family.
She found beauty in life’s simple pleasures. She loved tending her garden, sewing, and quilting, leaving behind countless treasured handmade quilts that will continue to wrap her family in love for generations. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and cherished her pioneer heritage.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life, Judy’s testimony of the Savior was the foundation upon which she built her life. She faithfully attended the temple, served valiantly and selflessly, and lived the principles she believed. Her example of discipleship blessed her family and all who knew her.
She was a relief society president four times while living in three different states and then after recovering from a stroke and receiving a pacemaker served two missions with her husband: one in St George, Utah and another in the temple in Madrid, Spain. She finished her mortal life while attending the temple 3 days a week for several years performing countless ordinances for her and husband’s ancestors.
She now continues her life’s purposes and pursuits, faithfully serving as a daughter of God, using her unique talents to bless others.
Though our hearts ache at her passing, we rejoice in the knowledge that families are eternal. Judy’s legacy lives on in the family she loved so deeply, in the faith she lived so faithfully, and in the countless lives she brightened with her smile, her wisdom, and her boundless love. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 11:00 am at her ward meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 676 Eagle View Drive, Alpine, Utah 84004.
The family invites those whose lives were touched by Judy to honor her memory by sharing stories, treasured photographs, and cherished memories here on the mortuary’s website.
