Justin Ross Dastrup has been his mom's whole world since the day he arrived on earth on August 16, 1997 at Orem Community Hospital in Orem, Utah and has spent his short 22 years of life loved immensely by his family and everyone who's ever met him. He's been a happy soul since day one, showing acceptance and love for everyone around him but also being able to get whatever he wanted, whether that was a hug, a cookie, or just a laugh. From daycare at Grandma Jo's to pre-school and through all of his different schools and moves he's kept the spirit of reading and sharing information with anyone who will listen. He graduated from Payson High School in 2015 and graduated from Weber Basin Job Corp in Facilities Maintenance in 2016. Justin loved reading sci-fi and horror books, video games, Lagoon, the Utah State Fair, The Salt Lake FanX Comic Convention, Magic TG, all kinds of movies, all kinds of music, but mostly his friends and family. He loved all holidays, especially Halloween and his birthday. Justin had a special love of animals and they all loved him. There is no kinder human being than Justin. He always befriended and took care of the underdog. All through his life his greatest accomplishment has been how he loves, accepts, and cares for people. At 6'2" he was a giant of a man, filled with love! Justin is survived by his loving and adoring parents, Shane and Stacy Tucker (Springville), his brother Jack Tucker (Florida), his aunt Markell and uncle Phil Jensen (Mapleton), his uncle Cody and aunt Casey (Arizona), his grandma Shirley and grandpa Kelly Sanders (LaVerkin), his aunt Tracey Cluck (Lindon), his great grandma Carol Hoover (Mapleton), his great grandpa Dell and great grandma Dolores Sanders (American Fork) and his beloved cousins Todd, Casey, Ashely, Keltsie, Jackson, Madison, McKenzie, Xavier, Nick, and brand new baby Arbor. Also his dear friend Mark Aldred (Salt Lake City). So many people love Justin and have influenced his life. He is also survived by grandpa Dan and grandma Teresa Dastrup (Clinton), his father Clayne and step-mom Margo Weight (Mapleton), his sister Jessica Harmon and her husband Chris and their kids Kaila and Talon. His wonderful cousins in the Shipp family, the Christensen family, and the Cluff family. Justin embraced everyone and immediately devoted his heart to them as family. He loved his dear brothers Brandon, Ricky, and Tyler Covington and their dad, Doug Covington, as well as his sisters Dallys (Victor) Armenta, Kassidy (Sam) Maxfield, Kaycie (Jay) Fuhriman, and Ravyn (Joshua) Roberts. Thank you to his many friends over these past few years at the homeless shelters and VOA. He had a special relationship with Jayden Chambers and Shay Dunn and his family. We will always be grateful for their love and acceptance. Justin has been loved as Justin Pay, Justin Covington, Justin Weight, Justin Tucker, and Beast. Everyone is better for having known him and been loved by him. He was greeted on the other side by his great grandpa Hoover, his uncle Max Dastrup, his great grandpa Ross and great grandma Thail Dastrup, his grandpa John and grandma Cherry Tucker, his uncle Earl Cluck, his grandpa Kae and grandma Weight, his grandpa Harold and grandma Mary Diamond. Also, his dear friend Mike Warfel and his uncle Kay Covington. Our family is devastated and grieving. We will hold a small graveside service for Justin's family and as soon as we can, we will coordinate a celebration of life to honor our son, grandson, nephew, brother, and friend. Until we meet again, take a lesson from Justin's life, and be nice to one another.
