Katelyn Amy (Daniels) Hunsaker, age 38, passed away on April 9, 2026. Our hearts are heavy with this loss, and she will be forever loved and deeply missed.

Katelyn was born on February 11, 1988, in Payson, Utah, to Tom and Beckie Daniels.

Growing up, Katelyn loved hunting, fishing, softball, and most of all being around children. She carried that love of family and connection throughout her entire life.

Her greatest joy was her son, Remington. She cherished being his mom, something evident in every photo she took and every moment she devoted to him. He was her greatest accomplishment and her deepest source of pride and love.

Katelyn later married the other love of her life, David Hunsaker, on October 2, 2009. Together, they shared many adventures and memories.

Her favorite place to ever be was the beach, especially Clearwater Beach in Florida. She had a deep love for the ocean, and if you were ever looking for her, that is where she would want to be.

She loved Mexican food, her dogs Peach and Lilo, who were never far from her side. She found immense joy in cooking, where she truly excelled. Though, she did not find immense joy in any sort of board games. - In recent, developed a love for chocolate chip cookies.

Katelyn was a woman full of personality, stubborn in the most endearing ways, quick with her humor, and resilient with her strength. Katelyn has the most contagious laugh and smile—she had a way of making people feel lighter just by being in the same room as her.

She loved deeply and showed it in everything she did. Katelyn was always helping others, going above and beyond without hesitation. She was an incredible listener and advice giver, with a rare gift for words that flowed effortlessly, she always seemed to know exactly what to say to anyone.

She was a fighter in everything she did, facing her whole life with determination, and love that had no limits.

She will be remembered for her strength, her generous heart, and the way she loved so so fiercely. Her impact on those around her is forever immeasurable, and her memory will undoubtedly live inside the hearts of all who got the chance to know and love her back.

Katelyn is survived by her husband, David, and her son, Remington; her parents, Tom and Beckie Daniels; her brothers, Drew, Beau, and Trate (Jenica); her sister, Jess Whitney (Trevor); her father- and mother-in-law, Parley and Melanie Hill; and her siblings-in-law, Sadie Schafer (Ben) and Gavin Hill.

She is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews: Haizley and Raelynn Daniels; Kanyon and Faith Daniels; Trey, Jace, Bailey Whitney; and Jensen Schafer.
