Katherine Dillenbeck 1983-2018 Katherine Dillenbeck, 34, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 following several months of health issues. She was born Oct. 11, 1983 to Gary Eugene Dillenbeck and Marilyn Blackburn Dillenbeck. She was known as Kate to her family and went by Kat everywhere else.   Kat was raised in Orem, Utah. Growing up she enjoyed camping, fishing, riding ATVs and shooting sports, as well as soccer and basketball. She was an excellent musician on the saxophone and loved her time participating in marching band at Orem High School.  She was also talented in the arts of drawing, writing, poetry, wood burning, crafts, and especially making dream catchers.  She was an avid University of Utah fan and often wore Ute attire and loved her Ute hats. Kat's treasures in her life were her three sons.  As she was unable to care for them herself, she gave them a priceless gift of placing them with new families. Her heart was full of love and hope for them and their futures. She was preceded in death by her dear mother, Marilyn Blackburn Dillenbeck, and grandparents, Robert, Erma and Ferl Dillenbeck, and Ray and Vesta Blackburn. Kat is survived by her father, Gary Dillenbeck, step-mother Ellen Ball Dillenbeck, brother Tom (Julie) Dillenbeck, two nephews and one niece, step-siblings, step-nieces and nephews, many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Kat's family would like to thank her many supportive friends and the Doctors, therapists and staff at Wasatch Mental Health for their work over the years to help Kat live a more fulfilling life. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 18, 2018, 10:00 am at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 E 800 N, Orem.  Family and friends may call Friday morning from 9:00 - 9:45 at the funeral home. Interment will be held at the Orem City Cemetery.
