Kayle Verl Kirk, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and son, passed away in the early morning on March 11, 2023. Kayle was born on January 17, 1935 to his loving parents Verl and Ora (Keetch) Kirk in Orem, Utah.

His family moved to Magna, Utah for about five years and returned to live in Orem when Kayle was 10 years old. He attended Pleasant Grove High School graduating in 1953 and played on the varsity football and basketball teams. He later attended Snow College as well as Brigham Young University. He served in the Army from 1955-1957.

He was employed at Hercules in Magna for 31 years. He served in the Mount Timpanogos Temple in his later years and really enjoyed this time in his life.

Kayle met Mary Jo Story and they married in the Provo Temple on September 23, 1972. Together they had three children; Kelle, Kami and Brandon. He was also a father to Michael from a previous marriage. He had ten grandchildren and one great-grandson. Kayle loved his children and family immensely and was always willing to help others. He was a loving, kind, generous and wonderful man who will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his daughter Kelle Carter (Brannon) and their three children Kaleb, Korman and Kambry, his son Brandon Kirk (Kensie) and their three children Kaylie, Griffey, and Kayson, his son-in-law Ryan (Kami) and their son Kaydon, his step-son Michael and his three children Haelly, Kendrick and Mateo, and his sisters Peggy Jorgenson and Judy Atkinson. Kayle was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Jo Kirk, his brother Lary Kirk, his sister Jo Lyn Kirk, and his daughter Kami Kirk Romeike.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 15, 2023, beginning at 10:30 am, Pheasant Pointe First Ward, 3031 North 890 West, Lehi, Utah, with a visitation prior to services from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the same location.
