Kaylee Faye Bird April 2, 1988 ~ May 31, 2018 Early May 31, 2018 our sweet daughter, sister, and friend joined her rank among the angels as she passed on from this world surrounded by her adoring family. Kaylee was born in Provo, Utah on April 2nd, 1988 to parents Dwight, and Debbie Firmage Bird. Kaylee grew up in Orem where she spent most of early years camping and boating with her family, being doted on by her grandparents, and bossing around her older brother Brady. Kaylee attended Timpview High School and was a varsity member of the softball team. Many of the relationships she built with her teammates and coaches lasted long after her graduation with the class of 2006. Kaylee then moved to Logan, UT where she attended Utah State University earning her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Special Education after being inspired by caring for her nephew. After college Kay moved back to Utah County to be near her family. She began teaching preschool and kindergarten for special needs children with a special focus on Autism. Teaching was Kaylee's true passion in life. She never shined more than when she was in front of her classroom, engaging in a new lesson, dressing up in wild costumes, or leading them in a wacky dance. Kaylee truly loved her students. Kaylee's family, dogs, and students meant everything to her. She was the baby of our family. She will be missed greatly, and her memory held closely in our hearts forever. Kaylee is survived by her parents Dwight and Debbie Bird, Sisters Teresa (Tom) Jewkes, Tiffanie Bird, and Brother Brady Bird (Colten Yardley), her Grandmother Lanea Bird. 3 nieces and 6 nephews, as well as several loved aunts, uncles and cousins. Kaylee is preceded in death by Grandparents William and Faye Firmage, and Reid Bird. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, June 6th at the Provo Cemetery.
