IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Keele Mccoy
Livingston
August 8, 1936 – October 3, 2023
Keele McCoy (MAC) Livingston, McCoy to his family, MAC to his friends.
McCoy passed away October 3, 2023, in Orem, Utah.
Born August 8th, 1936, in his Grandmother Livingston's home in Moroni, Utah. Son of Deon Taylor Livingston and LaVerl Keele Livingston.
He was a delightful child, with an engaging smile and laugh, that showed off his cute dimples. His sisters, Jean and Lois, knew that he was the favorite, because he was the son and looked like his father. The sisters were okay with that because he was their favorite too!
He started at an early age helping his father with the milk cows and other farm chores. He also helped neighbors with farm work., which set the tone for his work ethic.
"Mac" graduated from Moroni High School in Moroni, Utah, where he played on the basketball team.
He graduated form Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. He then served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in the Central States Mission, where he became first counselor to the Mission President.
McCoy served his country in the Utah National Guard, stationed at Ft Lewis, Washington
He loved his family and they loved him. His nieces and nephews adored him. At the annual Christmas Eve dinner at his sister, Lois' home, the nieces and nephews would wait impatiently by the window for him to arrive. It wasn't Christmas until he was there. He loved playing Santa's helper, where he would deliver anonymously financial aid to those in need. He was so adored that three grand nephews named their sons after him: Beau McCoy Rasmussen, Micky McCoy Rasmussen and McCoy Ray Rasmussen.
Always one to be involved, he was an astute business man, owning several properties in Salt Lake City.
He was the owner of the Flower Patch floral shops, in Salt Lake and Provo.
He loved politics, especially The Constitution of the United States. He became and expert on the Founding Fathers and The Constitution itself. He loved having conversations with his nephew Taylor about it.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his older sister, Jean Allen. He is survived by his sister Lois L. Rasmussen, nieces and nephews, Julie, Ward. and Sam Brewer.
