He was born March 21, 1927 in Emmett, Idaho. He was the sixth child of seven children born to William Thomas and Essie Idella (Lee) Borup.
Keith served his country as a member of the US Army. He attended both Utah State University and later Brigham Young University where he graduated with a degree in Accounting. He joined a local accounting firm where he shortly became a partner and spent his entire career.
Before graduating from BYU, he met his sweetheart, Gladys "Tina" Adams, in Emmett, Idaho in 1953. Gladys came to Idaho from her home in Virginia for a visit with some friends. Keith and Gladys were married in the Logan Temple on June 4, 1954. They settled in Utah
Valley, living initially in Provo and soon after in Orem, Utah. They were blessed with three girls and three boys: Renae Jeppson, Launa Dianatkhah, Tammy Anstee, Marlon Borup (Jennifer Griffin), Ben Borup (Beth Hirschi) and Brian Borup.
As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Keith served in various callings throughout his life, including a mission to Denmark. He also served as a senior missionary with Gladys in the Australia Adelaide Mission.
He loved fishing, boating, camping, scrabble, metal-detecting, traveling, family history, and most of all being with his family.
He spent his last few years at Covington Senior Assisted Living where he made many friends and became quite social. He received the kindness and care from the staff and from the Symbii Hospice caregivers needed to make his final days here on earth more enjoyable.
Keith is survived by six children, twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, both parents, all his siblings, and one grandson.
