Kent Jameson Bigler
Kent Jameson Bigler (age 72) beloved husband, dad, and grandpa passed away September 16, 2021. Kent was born in Provo, Utah on October 14, 1948. His parents were Lucille Jameson Bigler and Mac A. Bigler. He grew up in Eureka, Utah alongside his two siblings Gary (deceased) and Carolee (Tooele, Utah).
Kent was reared in Eureka. He graduated from Tintic High School. After high school, he attended Utah Technical College in Provo where he earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science in May 1971.
Kent married Debra Laird Bigler on June 24, 1972. They started their married life in Provo, as Kent began his forty-plus year career in sales. Kent's career required him to travel extensively to Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, and Utah. He loved his profession, and was well respected by hundreds of clients. He made many life-long friends through his profession. Kent retired in 2015 from Hunter Douglas. However, he missed interacting with people so he began a part-time job at Home Depot. Kent enjoyed his co-workers and received many commendations in the short time he was employed there.
One of Kent's favorite places in Utah, or anywhere, was Fish Lake. He and his family spent well over 50 years at the Lake each summer. His other favorite activity was watching his children and grandchildren play baseball, softball, basketball, and football.
Kent is survived by his wife of 49 years, his sons; Adam (Amber, Ryder, and Kelan) of Eureka, Utah; Jake (Cassie, Mac, and Maci) of Springville, Utah and Spencer (Cassi) of Orem. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Carolee and Kay Colovich as well as his mother-in-law Donna Laird. He is loved by many adoring nieces and nephews.
Kent's life will be celebrated with a visitation on Tuesday, September 21st from 6-8 pm at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home (646 East 800 North, Orem). There will be a service at the same location at 11 am Wednesday, September 22, 2021, no viewing will be held that morning. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery immediately following the service.
