Kent Moroni Marchant, 69, passed away on February 1, 2019 unexpectedly. Kent was born to parents Moroni and Lily Marchant on November 16, 1949. He was fifth in line to three brothers and one sister, who all lovingly called him Kenny.
On January 12, 1971, Kent married his sweetheart, Danielle Robison. They were married 48 years. They were married in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple in 2011 and rarely left each others side. They were blessed with three sons and two daughters that kept life interesting.
Kent was a storyteller and told many stories to his children and grandchildren. He was a joker that kept everyone laughing, we will miss his wit. He loved his family dearly.
Kent worked at Geneva Steel for 28 plus years, then with Nestles until he retired. He spent many hours in college studying to be an electrician and ended in instrumentation leaving him with four Associates Degrees and his Bachelors Degree. Kent loved to study and learn. He always carried a book everywhere he went and seemed to know something about everything.
He served honorably in the United States Army for two years in Vietnam. He loved his country and was a true patriot. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Kent had a deep love for his Savior and a strong testimony of the gospel. His faith never wavered. Heavenly Father took home a warrior that stood strong in his faith.
Kent is survived by his wife, Danielle Marchant, his children, Brian, Jason, Traci, Katie (Alan), seven grandchildren, Brilee, Caden,Tyler, McKenna, Jackson, Ava, Emmi and one great-grandchild, Kashden. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Matthew.
Funeral Services will be Monday February 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Orchard 5th Ward Chapel, 1120 East 600 North, Orem. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday February 10, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home 646 East 800 North, Orem or Monday February 11, 2019 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the services.
