Kristine Margaret Gerstmann, née Drotning (always known as Kris) passed away at home in Sundance, Utah on August 19, 2023 while in hospice care for an incurable form of cancer. She was 76 years old, survived by her brother Michael, husband Dale, daughter Clare, sons Peter and Derek, five grandchildren, and constant canine companions, Kaia and Tilly. A child developmental occupational therapist, a PSIAA ski instructor, a German and Japanese language translator, a Master Gardener, an 800m Senior Games medalist, a voluminous reader, a connoisseur of coffee and puns, a traveler, a mountain lover, and a hiker of trails; she is remembered for her activity, her strength, her spirit, and her love as a mother, a grandmother, and a wife of 52 years. Memorials may be made to an environmental/nature/climate charity of your choice.
