LaMont G Mecham October 16, 1957-September 24, 2021 On Friday September 24, 2021 our beloved LaMont G. Mecham passed away at his home from natural causes at the age of 63. LaMont was born October 16, 1957 in Heber, Utah to Ivadell Graham Mecham and Reed LaMont Mecham of Wallsburg, Utah. He moved to Orem, Utah. In Orem he attended Early Intervention Programs. He attended school in Alpine School District. After his schooling he worked in various assisted work programs. (Stealing the hearts of all he met at work). He was a grocery bagger in Safeway in Orem for a time. His favorite jobs was working in the ACTEC woodshop. He loved building and painting bird houses. He lived in Orem with his beloved mother Ivadell Graham Sinkinson until she became ill and passed away. He then came to live in Highland with Kim and Venice Hampton. Monty enjoyed traveling, being in the mountains, riding horses, visiting his family and being a cowboy with his cowboy Brother, Ronnie Mecham. He loved superheroes and wore a superhero shirt every day. LaMont was preceded in death by his father Reed LaMont Mecham, mother Ivadell Graham Sinkinson and sister Wanda Mecham Miller. He is survived by sister Venice Hampton, brother-in-law Kim Hampton, Brother Ronnie R. Mecham, sister-in –law Jalayne Mecham, brother-in-law William F. Miller. He has his special loving nieces Loralee Buttars, Rebecca Mecham, Rosanne Hosteen, Launi Bigelow, Layna Mecham, Rachel Hampton Jensen, nephews Ryan Mecham, Jace Mecham, Russell Hampton, Zane Miller, and Chase Miller. His many cousins have been his treasured friends, idols, and playmates. We thank Chrysalis and Tender Care for their compassionate cares at this challenging stage of his life. A visitation will be held Friday October 1 from 11:45-12:45 at Walker-Sanderson Funeral Home 646 East 800 North, Orem, Utah, a funeral will follow at 1 pm at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home. He will be interred at the Wallsburg Cemetery. Mont's chains of disability will no longer hold him as he returns to his Holy Father with glory.
