Larry Lee Pierce of Provo, Utah, born November 17, 1945 in Gunnison, Utah to Sylvester Lee and Beulah Baxter Pierce, unexpectedly passed away at the age of 74 of natural causes on November 24, 2019.
Larry graduated from Lehi High School in 1964, and graduated from Hollywood Beauty School in 1965. He went on to have a long a fulfilling career in cosmetology, establishing Larry's Hair'm in Provo in 1976 to present day. During this time he garnered many awards and achievements, some of which included the Darrell Sisemore Hall of Fame Award in 1995, and the KSL Local A-List award for Best Hair Salon in 2012. He also served as Chairman of the Utah Hair Fashion Committee from 1985-1987 and President of the Utah Hairdressers and Cosmetology Association from 1987-1989.
Larry was an extremely generous and giving man. One of his last acts of selflessness was creating a scholarship in the name of the Class of 1964, given to one Lehi High School graduate each year.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother and father, sister Susan Gates, and two brothers Robert and Leear Pierce.
He is survived by his two children, Ragen (Brent) Backus, and Justin Pierce; grandchildren Amanda Oberg; Cody (Kiersten), Jordan (Natalie), and Logan (Brianna) Backus; Molesa, Kalee, and Tallyn Pierce; and 7 great-grandchildren.
