We the family of our beloved, Grace LaRue Richmond Gerber, would like to honor her life on Thursday, September 3, 2020, at the Sharon Stake Center, located at 545 South 800 East in Orem, Utah at 11:00 a.m. LaRue, 93 years old, was reunited with her daughter, Sue, her parents and countless other loved ones, August 26, 2020 in St. George, Utah.
LaRue radiated love for each individual, whether friend or family, even strangers felt her love as she greeted one and all with a genuine smile. It seems that she could find a friend or make one no matter where she was! She radiated joy. She literally woke up singing! Dancing was another talent with which she excelled. LaRue could take a scrap of fabric or a piece of paper and create a work of art! Her love for God was paramount in all of her actions and her desire to honor Him was her life-long goal. LaRue was the embodiment of love, happiness and the radiance of the gospel.
LaRue is survived by her husband, Elmer Gerber, her daughters Peggy (Terry Taylor), Nancy (Brue McPhie), Brenda (John Barry), and son Wallace "Wally" Gerber. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening, September 2, 2020 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Autumn Park, 548 North 11 East, Washington, UT 84780 (435-275-4458) who lovingly cared for her to her final moment.
