LaZell was born June 21, 1927 in Springville, Utah to Jacob and Permelia Felix, the youngest of six children LaZell said "after mother raised the older children, she was too tired to teach me anything, so we had a party all the time, it was a ball." LaZell loved traveling from a young age. Because her father worked for the railroad and they received free tickets to ride her mother took her many places.
LaZell graduated from Springville High School, attended University of Utah and BYU. In 1946 she met Robert Duke and they married in 1947, they later divorced. LaZell and Bob built their Orem home in 1953 where LaZell lived for sixty-five years and raised her children; Marcia and Brian.
In 1980 LaZell met the love of her life Morris Druce; they were married November 26, 1982. LaZell and Morris loved to travel together. They went to Canada, Hawaii, Mexico, Disneyland, Disneyworld, the Caribbean, Arizona, and many other places. Together they watched Wheel of Fortune and the Price is Right every day. LaZell continued to watch her programs until the end. LaZell worked many years at P.E. Ashton Co. and later at Harmon's Cadillac where she retired.
LaZell passed away October 31, 2019, in Springville, Utah, with her children by her side. Many heartfelt thanks to iCare Hospice, Paul and Cami.
