Leah May Prince Midgley Pearson Our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother passed away peacefully on December 24, 2017. Leah was born October 14, 1929 in Salt Lake City to May Prince and George Midgley. She was raised in Yorkshire England, Los Angeles, and New York City. She is survived by her sister Cathy Cardillo of Portugal. She attended the University of Utah where she met and married her husband of 56 years, Ray Leon Pearson. They raised their family in Alamo CA and Knoxville TN. She was very instrumental in helping to establish the church in these areas. They retired to St. George UT and lived their last years in Provo, UT. Her greatest joy was raising her five children: Cindy Turner (Michael), Jennifer Pearson, Margaret Pearson, Lesley Wray (Grover), David Pearson (Joi). She loved being a grandmother to her 12 Grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving in Primary, Relief Society and Young Women. Her favorite callings were Primary chorister and visiting teacher. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing in Church and Community Choirs. She and Ray served 2 missions for the Church in LaFollette, TN and at the Church Family History Mission in Salt Lake City, UT. She was active in her community through many political, PTA and Cultural Art activities. She was a member of the DUP. Everyone Leah met was her friend. She was always willing to serve and help others, especially those that were less fortunate. We want to thank her friends and the staff at Cove Point Retirement Center and Elevation Hospice for their kindness and service to our mother.
