Leland Kay Allred , age 79, passed away October 17, 2018. Funeral Services will be Saturday, October 27, 2018, 10:00 a.m., Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem. Family and friends may visit prior to services from 9:15 -9:45 a.m. at same location. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, 500 North Main Street, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062. Education: Leland Kay Allred was a 1958 graduate of American Fork, High School. Employment: He served in the U.S. Navy as a Medic for 12 years and was Employed in various hospitals in Hemet, California, Utah County, and Salt Lake City. Hobbies or other interests: His hobbies were writing personal family histories, spending time with family and he enjoyed entertaining family and friends with his jokes. Religious Activities: He was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as an Elder, a Branch President, a Seventy and ministered as a home teacher for many years. He and his wife Sharlene were avid family history workers and temple patrons. Military Service Information: He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1970 during which time he served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam as a Medic. Survivors: (Son) Richard Lee Allred and wife, Joyce Allred (daughter) Sandra Allred Hilton and husband, Larry Hilton. He is also survived by his brother, Phillip Lance Allred, 5 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
