Leon "Wood-eye" Kenion Davis, 72, of Salem passed away Thursday May 31, 2018. He was born September 9, 1945 in Payson Utah to Wells Albert Davis and Jane Lucille Lamb Davis. Leon worked at Geneva Steel for 37 years before retiring. He loved hunting, antique collecting, horseback riding and horse racing. He was a member of the Nebo Chariot Racing Association, Payson Racing Association and the Utah State Riding Club Association. He was very crafty especially in woodworking and welding. He also was a fan of old westerns especially John Wayne films. He enjoyed going to Arizona for the winter. He especially loved to watch his grandkids play sports. He loved all his grandchildren and was very proud of them. Leon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Leon is survived by his children Brett Leon Davis (Becky), Jared Lamb Davis (Holly), his grandchildren Weston, Bailey, Calle, Courtney, and McCade as well as his siblings Marilyn Whipple, Carol West, Monte L. Davis, and Rodney J. Davis. He is preceded in death by his parents Wells Albert Davis and Jane Lucille Lamb Davis, his brother Neil W. Davis and son Lonnie Justin Davis. Graveside Services will be Thursday June 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Salem City Cemetery at 965 South 130 East, Salem, 84657.
