Linda Ann Filippi, age 68, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, in Provo, Utah, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Linda was born on August 6, 1957, in Melrose, Minnesota. Throughout her life, she was known for her resilience, strong spirit, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. She worked as a commercial bus driver for many years and took pride in serving her community through her work.

In her later years, Linda made Utah her home, where she formed many meaningful friendships through her church community and the nursing home where she resided. She was loved by friends, caregivers, and all who had the opportunity to know her. Her kindness, humor, and determination left a lasting impression on those around her.

Linda is survived by her children, Abdallah Elayan of Lehi, Utah; Pauline Margallou of Greece; and George Margallou of Chicago, Illinois. She is also survived by her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband and by her parents, Douglas Edward Weivoda and Doris Katherine Weivoda.

In her final days, Linda was surrounded by the love of family and friends. Although her passing leaves a tremendous void, those who knew her take comfort in knowing she is now at peace and free from pain.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the hospice staff, nursing caregivers, church community, and friends who provided comfort, compassion, and support throughout Linda's final journey.

Linda will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
