Linda Longman Lamoreaux passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, December 26 th after celebrating the Christmas holiday with her cherished family. Linda was born on April 29 th , 1942 in Provo, Utah to Leslie Longman and Doris Thatcher Longman. In 1960 she graduated from Orem High School in Orem, Utah. On September 12 th 1963, she was sealed to her beloved husband, Erwin Carlos Lamoreaux in the Salt Lake temple. Together they raised eight children and welcomed twenty-nine grandchildren as well as five great grandchildren into their family. Caring for her family was the great love and work of her life and continued until the moment she passed.
Linda was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. For over 20 years, she deeply treasured the time that she spent serving as a primary chorister. She diligently served the youth and children of the church with countless hours of preparation, never losing her enthusiasm for the music that taught the children the simple truths of the gospel.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Allen.
Survived by her husband of 56 years, Erwin; and children: Kari (Steven) VanderDoes, Daniel (Andrea) Lamoreaux, Brock (Pamela) Lamoreaux, Toni (Steven) Torman, Michael (Laura) Lamoreaux, Jonathan (Marissa) Lamoreaux, April (Bradley) Reedy, Holli (Daniel) Hart. Grandsons: Ryan, Jared, Joshua (Ashlee), Erik, Zachary, Weston, JT, Samuel, Kaden, Tanner, Tyler, Christopher, Spencer, Parker, and Ryker. Granddaughters: Danielle, Jessica (Brock), Kimberlee, Amanda, McKell, Hunter, Ashley, Kandice (Michael), Breannea (Joseph), Megan, Erin (Zachery), Grace, Taylor, Tenley. Great grandchildren: Aiden, Rylee, Hyrum, Hudson, Jocelyn. And her siblings, Dorene Dunton and John Longman.
A viewing will be held Friday, December 28 th from 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Saturday from 12:30-1:30 PM a the Timpanogos Park Stake Center, 1000 North Main Street, Orem. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, December 29 th at 2:00 PM at the church, followed by a gravesite service at the Orem cemetery.
