Linda Lee Smith
1939-2021
Linda Lee (82), our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, great grandma, and best friend slipped gently back to our eternal home to be greeted by those who have gone before her on the evening of July 1, 2021.
She was born 25 June 1939 in Los Angeles, California and is the daughter of Frankie Fay Smith and John Stanley Brill. As a girl, she took tap, ballet and piano lessons which created her lifelong love of dancing and music. She was in the Arcadia High School's drill team and marched in the Rose Parade one year. She attended BYU and Church College of Hawaii (now BYU-Hawaii) soon after it was founded.
Linda lived a life of service and love. She was a devoted mother, sister, and wife and moved with grace even when challenges arose. She loved the children of her husbands and treated them as her own.
She was dedicated to the study of nutrition and health. She helped many people with her knowledge of the body systems and of natural remedies.
She served in many positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her passion was genealogy research; she had a remarkable ability at finding missing children and spouses within a family unit. She has more than 109,000 researched names in her personal tree.
She is survived by her sister Judy Benoit, son Curtis Kanahele and his wife Nani, grandchildren Candace, Carrington and Carson, 2 great grandchildren Ryder and Cade, and Judy's family.
Linda's viewing will be on Wednesday July 7th 4:00-5:30 pm at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 E 800 N, Orem, Utah. The Memorial service will be held on Thursday July 8th at 11:00 at the LDS Chapel at 250 W 600 S, Lindon, Utah.
