IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda H.
Wilkinson
June 3, 1944 – January 6, 2026
Linda Hunter Wilkinson, age 81, of Provo, Utah, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, following a recent and rare cancer diagnosis, which she faced with faith, courage, and grace. She was surrounded by her beloved sweetheart and family, who supported her lovingly until the end. Linda leaves behind a legacy of devotion to her family and an enduring example of Christlike love and service.
Linda Hunter Wilkinson was born on June 3, 1944, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the youngest of two children born to Alfred Walker Hunter and Frances Vilate Barnes Hunter. Linda entered this world with a fighting spirit—born eight weeks premature—and she carried that grit, resilience, and quiet strength throughout her life.
Linda graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1962. She attended Ricks College, where she earned an Associate Degree in Clothing and Foods. She later enrolled at Brigham Young University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Clothing and Textiles with an emphasis in Business Management.
While attending BYU, Linda met Clyde E. Wilkinson through their family home evening group. They were married in the Logan Temple on December 20, 1966. During the early years of their marriage, Linda and Clyde traveled extensively with Clyde's military service, living in Texas, Oklahoma, and Italy before eventually returning home to settle in Orem, Utah.
Linda and Clyde were blessed to adopt two children, Scott and Charlotte, and they delighted in watching their family grow to include seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Linda was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She faithfully served in numerous callings, including Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society. Together, Linda and Clyde served a mission in the Milan Italy Mission from 2006 to 2008.
Above all else, Linda was most proud of her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked tirelessly in service to her family and found great joy in supporting and celebrating their activities and successes. Linda could often be found in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes or at her sewing machine creating something beautiful. She was frequently called upon for design and sewing projects and was a phenomenal seamstress and pattern designer. Linda also loved quilting and cross-stitching, completing many beautiful pieces that adorned her home and became cherished gifts of love for her children and grandchildren. Linda will be remembered for her countless acts of service—not only to her family, but also to dear friends, ward members, and her community.
Linda is survived by her husband of 59 years, Clyde Wilkinson; her children Scott (Sheryl) Wilkinson and Charlotte Kellems; her grandchildren Tanner (Klarissa) Wilkinson, Ian (Ginger) Kellems, Grace (Jarrett) Gurney, Braden (Caitlin) Wilkinson, Mya (Sean) O'Dea, Colby Wilkinson, and Riley Olenik; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Frances Hunter, and her brother and sister-in-law, Alfred and Elaine Hunter.
