Lois Christine Faulconer of Orem, Utah, died in the early morning hours of Sunday, 16 February, 2020, surrounded by those who love her. Chris is survived by her brother, Glen Sammons, of Warrensburg, Missouri, her four children James (Janice), Gerald (Bette), Jean Thomas (Herb, deceased), and Tricia Thomson. She has 13 grandchildren, two of whom, Blake and Zachary, predeceased her, as well as 29 great-grandchildren. Chris joins her beloved and much-missed husband, Ernie, and a large family of parents, brothers and sisters, and grandchildren.
Though there will be no military salute at Chris's graveside services, she served her country every bit as much as did her Army-officer husband, caring for their family as they lived in Japan, Germany, Korea, Panama, and several U.S. states, and during her husband's two-year deployment to Japan during the Korean War.
Chris was a convert of more than fifty-eight years to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she served in many church callings during her life in the Church. Her faith in Jesus Christ remained strong from her childhood until her death. She and Ernie were faithful servants in helping to establish the Church in South Korea in the 60s, and they later served a mission to Alaska. Chris was proud to be one of the founding members of Looney Loomers, a group who make and donate quilts, baby blankets, knitted hats, mittens, toys, and other goods for those in need here in the U.S. and in other countries.
Visitation with the family will be possible from 9:30-10:30 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am, on Saturday, 22 February in the Latter-day Saint chapel at 2168 South 140 West, Orem, Utah. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.walkersanderson.com
