Louis Carlos Vasquez
1973-2021
Our beloved Louis Carlos Vasquez, 48, has left us to be with his heavenly father. He passed away peacefully with family at his bedside on April 4, 2021. Carlos was born on March 20, 1973. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Justina R. Vasquez (Guadalupe Vasquez) and Arturo Mireles.
Throughout his life, Carlos lived in caring facilities including the Tiny Tots Care Center, the Rise Spanish Fork Group Home, and Danville Services, with the loving Huff Family of Springville, UT, and in the tender home of Clair and Mae Brown.
Carlos graduated from Oakridge School in Provo, UT with the class of 1991 and went on to work at Central Utah Enterprise, a non-profit employment program for the cognitively impaired.
As a member of the Cherry Hill 2nd Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Carlos enjoyed attending church every Sunday, serving in the sacrament meeting, and visiting the Provo Temple.
He was a social butterfly and enjoyed meeting new people. His big, bright smile lit up any room he was in. His hobbies included listening to gospel music, watching BYU TV, and attending musicals. He also enjoyed parties, get togethers, outdoor nature walks, and bowling.
Carlos came from a large family who loved and adored him very much.
He is survived by his father Arturo Mireles, siblings Francisco (Grace), Guadalupe, Juanita, Leonor (Alex), Gregory, Josephine (Frank), Eva (Trent), and countless nieces, nephews, and community friends.
He is preceded in death by his Papa Guadalupe Vasquez, Mother Justina R. Vasquez, Sister Maria DeJesus, Brother Julian Vasquez, Cousin Hillario "Chato" Soto Jr. and Nephew Lewis Orlando Jensen Jr.
Our family would like to thank Tiny Tots Care Center, Shriners Hospital for Children, Danville Services, and Utah Valley Hospital for the meticulous care and devoted support they provided for our dear Carlos.
