Lyn Radebaugh Green passed away at home on Monday morning December 20, 2021. She was surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren in her final days.
She leaves behind her husband of 49 years, Michael Scott Green. Together they raised 4 children, Stephanie Whiting, Tracy Burnham, Michelle Sim, Scott Green. She was blessed with 18 grandchildren.
Lyn was born to Gus and Cleora Radebaugh on November 26, 1946. She was raised in Urbana, Illinois with her older brother Lee Radebaugh and younger sisters Kay Carpenter and Jane Radebaugh.
Lyn was a Baton twirler in high school and enjoyed an active social life. She went to BYU and graduated in Early Childhood Education. She then went on to work at a bank in Los Angeles and soon met her sweet husband Michael.
Lyn and Michael were married in 1972 in the Los Angeles Temple and raised their family in Riverside, CA.
Lyn was a proud homemaker. She spent her time caring for her children and serving in the church and the community. She was the PTA president, and a member the Assistance League of Riverside. She was happy to serve in her numerous church callings in Primary, Relief Society, Young Women's, and Seminary.
In 1995 Lyn and Michael moved their family and business to Ft Collins, CO. She worked in the jewelry store with Michael for 7 years and they built a successful and thriving business. They decided to sell it and serve a mission in Jacksonville, Florida after which they returned to Riverside. She worked at Cartridges for Kids and she was a top producer. She then got a job with the Riverside Unified School District and worked until she retired in 2012. She and Michael then served their next mission in Muncie, Indiana for a year. They also served 3 service missions in Riverside.
In 2018 Lyn's memory began to rapidly fade from the ravages of Alzheimer's. She and Michael moved to Orem, Utah to be close to all of their children.
What a blessing it was for her husband and children to return the love and service she had given them for so many years. As hard as it was to see her go, we have faith in God and in the power of the Atonement and the Plan of Salvation. Families can be together forever.
