IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lynnda Dee
Aitken
February 14, 1950 – February 17, 2025
Lynnda Dee Fullmer Aitken, born February 14, 1950, passed away on February 17, 2025, just after her 75th birthday. Lynnda was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to Ralph and Dee Fullmer and was welcomed home by her big brother, Steve, where the family was delighted with her full head of hair and infectious grin.
Lynnda attended school in Provo and met and married the love of her life, Jerry Bernell Aitken, on February 14, 1974, on her 24th birthday. They lived in the same area and thoroughly enjoyed their partnership and life together, just the two of them, until Jerry unexpectedly passed away at age 48 on November 4, 1998. It left Lynnda with a huge hole in her heart, and she then moved in with her parents until their passing.
She was then moved to Provo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, where she cruised the halls in her wheelchair, played a mean game of Bingo and loved to get her nails painted by the staff. She was always working on crossword puzzles or Sudoku and was a big fan of food, loving everything delicious, and was never without a can of Coke in her hand. Lynnda's family would like to express their deep appreciation to that wonderful facility and staff for their expert care and love that was shown to her while she lived there.
Lynnda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry, her parents, Ralph and Dee, and her big brother Stephen, which she loved and adored. After their parents passed away, she always looked forward to Steve dropping by and bringing her a rootbeer float with other goodies and treats, which he did faithfully until he passed January 29th 2023. Lynnda is survived by her nieces and nephews. Chris (Rowanna) Kellie, Capri, Kyle (Heather), Kasee, Lancia (Brandon), Bryant (Cheyenne), Anthony (Krishna).
Lynnda's all time favorite thing to do was playing games with her family, The Fullmer Family reunions always had lots of game playing with white elephant gifts, which she always walked away with plenty that she won. She loved to watch her nieces and nephews participate in the games at The Fullmer Family reunions cheering them on. Lynnda's dad, Ralph, had 15 brothers and sisters, along with all their families at the reunions there was quite the crowd there with lots of competition. She was the biggest cheerleader for her family and had lots of advice for her little nieces and nephews on winning against the other cousins.
Lynnda was a very special person, not only to her family but to anyone that met her, they would walk away knowing that they made a new friend that day that would last a lifetime. Her and Jerry both were the kindest, loving couple, that loved each other very much and loved going to visit during their marriage, they were inseparable, they especially loved going to Steve and Donda's in Wallburg for Christmas to watch all the kids sled down the driveway, having snowball fights and watching her great nieces and nephews open Christmas presents and then you guessed it, playing games like, Charades, Skat, UNO or any other game we played.
Lynnda will be missed by her remaining family and friends, we will be holding a graveside service and a open mic for family and friends that would like to share a special memory or story of her, on Wednesday, February 26th at 11:AM. At the Provo Cemetery Provo Cemetery 610 S State St. Provo, Utah
