Mark William Sunday, 87, returned to our father in heaven on December 11, 2021 in Orem UT.
Mark was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to Ada Norene Hartsfield Sunday and William Jacob Sunday on July 2, 1934. Mark Married his loving wife Donna May Abbott on July 12, 1954 in Provo UT. And later sealed in the Logan Temple on July 2nd 1957.
Mark lived a righteous life. He served as a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America in Colorado, Served as a Sunday school teacher and in the Family History center. He served in the US Airforce Band of Europe where he traveled to many European countries. He had a deep passion for music and found joy with playing percussion instruments in the Utah Valley symphony for 3 years. He was an active member in the Disabled American Veterans and had a great love for his Country. In his free time, Mark enjoyed writing. He has had 2 books published and had recently finished a 3rd. Mark loved spending time with his Family and traveling.
Mark was cherished and loved by many, he was survived by his loving wife Donna Sunday, Daughters Diana Betker, Colette Harrigan (Paul), and Laurie Pace (Alan). His Sons Dennis Sunday (Teresa), Allen Sunday (Kathy). 29 Grandchildren, 50 great Grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. He was preceded in death by sons Bevon Sunday, Kevin Sunday (Stephanie), 2 grandchildren, Parents Ada and William Sunday and 3 Sisters.
Mark's Funeral Services will be Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Stonewood 2nd Ward, 665 South 200 West, Orem. Family and friends may visit Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, or Tuesday morning at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Mark will be laid to rest at the Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park , 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale UT, 84065
