Marlyn Jensen 77, entered eternal life on her favorite day of the year December 23, 2019
Her spirit is carried on by her seven children, 23 grandchildren, 15 Great-grandchildren with two coming by then end of December. And five surviving siblings.
We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Mom during her 77 years, among them: Never throw away old knee High nylons, craft supplies, clothes, food, Material, yarn, Sweaters ,and coats. Pretty much everything. She would say " I need keep this because you never know if I am are going to need it. As soon as you throw it out or give to DI I will need it."
So if you're looking for 1 extremely large TV's from the late 90's, a large green freezer from the 70's , a microwave oven (more than slightly used) Two big bins of yarn, Seven large bins of material, food storage from the 1970's two metal cabinets of craft supplies, three sewing machines, bag of cat food or even a 2002 chevy Avalanche , with only 91,000 miles .
She was a lover of her cats. ( none of us were) Even though they were feral cats she loved them & fed them for years. Five years ago her granddaughter would capture the cats one by one. Took them to get fixed then return them. Mom never knew this. She would just say to us my cats are not having kittens anymore. We knew why! We liked not having kittens in the window wells. We wanted to walk out in the backyard without having to fight the beasts. However she just wanted them around. This has been one request is to make sure that we leave food out for those darn cats. We might?
She is the strongest women we have ever known. She moved to Utah in 1973 after her divorce. The best thing she ever did she would say. Besides having my children. Plus two bonus children. We were the best thing he gave her. I am positive she questioned that when we were teens. She had five children in six years. We were a rowdy bunch.
She let us believe what we wanted, love who we wanted and was always there for us when we needed anything. You know Money, Food, Shelter and mostly advice. However she would say "take it or leave it"
Mom was a free range parent (before there was a term for it) we could not leave the house before 10 am however we could stay out until dark. Check in and go back out until 11 or so. I am sure our neighbors disliked this tremendously. However, we loved it. She did not care what people said. ( and we still don't) . We all had some sort of money making racket, snowcones, golfballs, Coloring pictures, hangers, and cleaning houses. and still do. The majority of us have a business.
No matter what was said about us she loved us. I was her favorite just ask her. Ok Ok we all believe that,
She was a master cook in the kitchen. Who am I kidding, she could make a mean bowl of cold cereal. She made a few things great. Toast, eggs and Hot chocolate. She hated vegetables except corn, Potaoes and carrots. Therefore we did not have to eat them. She loved sweets so therefore we could to eat them. BEST CHILDHOOD EVER!!!!.
Mom loved TV show's at the top of here list Gunsmoke, Mash, The Closer, NCIS, NCIS LA, Walker Texas Ranger, and recently The Curse of Oak Island.
This is not an ad for a pawn shop, but an obituary for a great, amazing, Awesome Woman, Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother born on October 16, 1942 daughter of the late (Grover C Cochran.) and Granny (Alyce Boyce) Cochran.
