Obituary

Mary June Anderson, age 89, was called to her eternal home on June 24, 2023, at her residence in Lehi, Utah. Born on June 20, 1934, in Grantsville, Utah, to James and Gladys Ratcliffe, she married her sweetheart Roland Anderson on September 18, 1953 she was a devoted wife for over 69 years and they raised seven wonderful children.

Mary June lived a life of great humility and love, always putting others before herself. As a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Mary June's kindness and gentle spirit were a reflection of her deep faith and devotion to her Heavenly Father.

Mary June was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she found comfort and guidance in her faith. She served 3 missions with her husband Roland one in Orlando, Florida and two to Martin's Cove, Wyoming. Her reverence for all of God's creations was a testament to her deep gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon her. Mary June loved to write poetry, capturing the beauty and magnificence of God's creations.

Mary June's memory will be cherished by her husband, Roland Anderson, and her children Lori Smetana (Bob Smetana), Rolayne Hosking (Kenny Hosking), Brian Anderson (Kim Anderson), Tyler Anderson (Erika Anderson), and Justin Anderson (Anne Anderson), as well as her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in Death by her Parents James and Gladys Ratcliffe her brothers Bill and Delano Ratcliffe and her son Clay Anderson and Daughter Jan Teichert.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Walker-Sanderson Funeral Home, located at 646 E 800 N Orem, Utah 84097. Mary June's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, at 10:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 127 East 3200 North Lehi, Utah 84043, with a visitation starting at 8:30 am on site.

Mary June lived a life of deep faith, humility, and gratitude, always putting God first and cherishing His creations. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those she touched, and her legacy will serve as an inspiration for generations to come. Her departing advice to her children and grandchildren was "Trust In The Lord!" May she rest in eternal peace.
