Mary Lou Coult Hardy, 93, of Lindon, Utah passed away peacefully on January 23, 2020. Mary Lou was born June 15, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Matie Ashton Coult and J. Clyde Coult. She had an older sister, Leone, who loved her dearly. On a blind date she met Durston Elliot Hardy. They were married on September 9, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. The had five great children, Sue Robles, Irvine, Calif (deceased), Doug of Heber, Utah, Russ of Moreno Valley, Calif, Barb Fowler of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Jani Judge of Costa Mesa, Calif. Mary Lou worked as a bookkeeper, served in the Primary, both as Ward and Stake Primary presidents , served as stake Relief Society President for 7 years and was always ready and willing to serve and help those around her. Mary Lou and Durst served many years in the Los Angeles Temple and served in the Virginia Roanoke Mission from 1988 to 1990. They loved to travel and visit their children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Durston, her daughter, Sue, her parents, sister, and one granddaughter. Survivors include: two sons, Doug and Russ, two daughters, Barb and Jani, 28 grandchildren and 62 great grandchildren. Funeral will be Saturday February 1, 2020 at 11 A.M. at the Bountiful Ward Building 2285 South 200 West in Bountiful, Utah with a viewing 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery. As a family, we would like to extend a very special thanks to the employees and staff at the Spring Gardens Assisted Living of Lindon and especially the Enhanced Care Unit for their tender and loving care they gave to our mother.
