Megan Ashley Edwards, 26, loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend to everyone that knew her, passed away on Wednesday February 24th, 2021 in Provo Utah, surrounded by her family and friends.
Megan was born on December 1st, 1994 in Payson, Utah to her loving parents, Kim Baker of Salem, and Jason "Charlie" Edwards of Delta.
Megan grew up and went to school in Spanish Fork, where she enjoyed gymnastics, cheerleading, spending time in the sun (especially on the water), and adventuring with her siblings and friends.
Megan was always a bright light in the lives of those around her. She lit up every room that she entered with her contagious positive energy, beaming smile, and vibrant eyes. She gave the most warm and loving hugs, and made sure that everyone that she talked to felt safe, welcome, accepted, and loved.
Megan always enjoyed the little things in life. She was obsessed with beautiful sunsets, sunny weather, and a full moon. She was a jokester and loved making people laugh. She loved movie quotes, silly puns, and jumping out from behind a corner to scare you. Her laugh was the contagious type that would make everyone laugh along, even if they didn't know what they were laughing at! She enjoyed seeing people smile, and found tremendous joy in making others feel happy and loved.
Megan loved her family more than anything, and always cherished the relationships and memories that she had with her parents, siblings, and extended family. She always looked for opportunities to create new memories and spend quality time with her loved ones.
In June of 2016, Megan was blessed with the birth of her son Madden. Madden was the center of Megan's life. He brought her more joy and happiness than anything else in the world. She always made sure that he knew how incredibly loved he was by all.
Her warm, welcoming and loving nature will continue to be shared with the world by her loving family and friends.
Megan is survived by her son, Madden Phillips. Her mother, Kim (Jayson) Baker. Her father Jason "Charlie" Edwards. Her four brothers, Jordan (Jentri) Edwards, Spanish Fork. Taylor (Maddy) Edwards, Santaquin. Casey (Hannah) Baker, Springville. Ty Baker, Salem. And one sister Saydi (Kayden) Gonzales, Salem. Megan's also survived by her grandparents, Bill and Judy Edwards, Melodee Orton, Ron (Sonya) Orton, and Marvin and Lorraine Baker.
We would like to give a special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Utah Valley Hospital. Thank you Dani and Jo for taking such good care of Megan and our family. There is some solace knowing Megan was able to help others live on by way of organ donation
Arrangements entrusted to Walker Sanderson Funeral Home of Orem.
