Michael Ralph Harris passed away on April 22, 2020 from metastasized Kidney/Lung Cancer and Parkinson's disease.
He was born in Burbank, California to Ralph Irvin and Ruth G Harris on August 31, 1944. Survived by wife Cheri Harris, children Michael S. Harris (Melissa), Ashlie Seipert (Chris), Jessica Kimble (Chris), 8 Grandchildren (Micah, Madison, McKayla, McCoy, Sophia, Stella, Conrad, and Henry), sister Clio Penelope Malone and brother Scott Harris. Mike made friends with all he met; he still remains friends with his high school buddies. The highlight of his year was to visit them in California every February. Mike had many friends who considered him their brother.
Mike was raised in Glendale, California. He served an LDS mission to England. Mike studied Aerospace technology at Glendale College in California and was an airplane mechanic at Van Nuys airport. In his earlier years, Mike earned his pilot license. For many years he owned his own auto body repair shop. Mike could take a wrecked totaled vehicle and restore it to pristine condition. He loved anything that went fast, cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, and airplanes. He raced stock cars and loved Drag racing, (on the street and on the track). He owned hundreds of cars and trucks, and boats; exotic, new, old, so long as they went fast.
Many grateful thanks to the neighbors and dear friends who came to visit Mike in the last year as he struggled with many health issues. Our family appreciates the loving care and support from Mike's Elevation Hospice team, Bonnie, Jan, Richard, Debbie, and Ariel
