Saratoga Springs
Michael Eugene Percell 56. Passed away on July 26 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Mike was born on February 2 1970 to Kurt Percell and Dorothy Percell. Mike lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to those he loved, and an appreciation for the simple joys found in family and the outdoors.
On March 30 1991 Mike married the love of his life Sherry Knapp. Together they built a family that became the center of his world. He was a proud and loving father to Dalan, Kade and Brittan, and one of the greatest blessings was becoming a grandfather to Brighton and August. His grandchildren brought so much joy to his life. He cherished every moment spent with them.
Mike was a dedicated and hardworking man who owned and operated his own painting business. He took pride in his work ethic, craftsmanship and commitment to doing every job right.
Mike had a deep love for the outdoors and was happiest on an adventure, whether he was out on the boat, wave runners, four wheelers, camping or enjoying a barbecue, he embraced every moment to enjoy life with the people he loved.
Mike will be remembered for his generous heart, quiet strength, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
Micheal is survived by his beloved wife Sherry Percell; his children, Dalan, Kade and Brittan ((Josh) Hohenshelt. His siblings, Cindy (Blake) Benson, Christine (Garey) Wilson, Jeffrey (Rhonda) Percell, Leslie Percell, Steven (Rachael) Whetman.
Michael is preceded in death by his father Paul Whetman, brother Bret Whetman, sister Tina Whetman and niece Mickenzey Bennion, who all welcomed him home into loving arms.
In honor of Mike the family will hold a Celebration of Life in the near future.
