Mildred Elizabeth Boise Magleby—lovingly known as "Middie"—passed away peacefully in her home on August 18, 2025, in Provo, Utah, at age 90. Born on December 31, 1934 in Carlisle PA. she grew into a woman of quiet strength, warmth, and boundless devotion to her family.

She moved to NYC at the age of 17 to attend nursing school and became an RN. It was there that Middie met the love of her life, Francis R. ("Frank") Magleby. They were married on May 9, 1956, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they settled in Provo in 1959, where they created a joyful home and lifelong friendships in the community.

Middie and Frank were blessed with five children—Heather, Eric, Holly, Hillary, and Hans —who were the center of her world. She delighted in every milestone of her posterity and took special joy in being "Grandma Middie" to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those who knew Middie will remember her welcoming presence, her gentle humor, and the way she made every person feel seen and valued. She supported Frank's life in the arts and education with grace, opening her home and heart to students, neighbors, and friends. Her legacy is felt most deeply in the lives she quietly lifted—often with a warm meal, a handwritten note, or a perfectly timed word of encouragement.

Middie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank (1928–2013). She is survived by their five children 25 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Saturday August 23, 2025 at the Pleasant View 6th Ward Chapel 2445 North Timpview Drive, Provo at 11 a.m. A visitation will be held on Friday August 22, 2025 from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home 646 East 800 North, Orem or on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 at the church. Interment will be at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
