Myron (Mike) Earl Broadhead 85 of Orem, Utah passed away September 15, 2017 in his home with his family by his side. Mike was born March 01, 1932 in Wallsburgh, Utah to Earl J. Broadhead and Arla Mecham Broadhead. Mike was the oldest of five children; Norman (Holly Peterson), Leonard, Gerald, and Joan (Gordon) Gines. Mike married his high school sweetheart, Wilma (Billie) Wright on November 26, 1949. He graduated from Wasatch High School where he lettered in football, basketball, and baseball. Mike attended barber college in Salt Lake City. He barbered in Kamas, Utah and later in Orem at the Sportsman. In 1972, Mike and Billie started a new journey by purchasing the Chalet Cafe in Provo Canyon. Mike soon became known as the "whistling cook" preparing breakfast, hamburgers, and steaks throughout every season. Thanks to all the loyal customers and friends who made the Chalet such a success. After retiring, Mike and Billie moved to Tucson, Arizona. After a few years in the desert they returned to the family home, in Orem. Dad's life revolved around his family. He enjoyed watching sports with his girls, camping, working in his yard and entering his 1977 Lincoln Marx V Coupe in car shows. Later in his life, he enjoyed every thrift store and garage sale in Orem. There were days his girls were scared to look in the trunk. Mike was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by: his children Linda Sanders, Myra Jill (Paul) Drake, Paula (Marcel) Broadhead Mackell, and MykeAnne (Ricky) Hurst: nine grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie and daughter, Patti. Also, brothers: Norman, Leonard, and his sister, Joan. The family would like to thank Hearts of Hospice for the love and care they showed our dad during his last days. A special thanks to Roy and Terriwith love from his girls. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Sharon 3rd Ward, 430 South 700 East, Orem, Utah. A visitation will be held prior to service from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be held at the Heber City Cemetery.
