Nyda Beatrice Friel passed away peacefully on May 15, 2018 in Orem, Utah.  Bea was born on April 12, 1922 in Sunnyside, Washington to Isaac Lelen Wardle and Harriet Zetella Taylor.  She had an older brother, Taylor, and three younger sisters, Mel, Zada, and Velda. Bea was raised in Lehi, Utah and graduated from BY High.  She attended BY Academy where she met LaMar Friel.  Bea and LaMar were married on November 21, 1941. She was an active member of the LDS Church serving in many callings including Primary President for 12 years, BYU Relief Society Stake Presidency and in YW.  She loved working with the youth. Bea and LaMar were the parents of Robert Lelen (Jane) of Mapleton and Carol Ann (David Kingston) of Orem.  They have 9 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren.  Her family was the center of her life. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 30 at 11 am in the Cascade 5th Ward, 1051 East 200 North, Orem, Utah . Family and friends may visit before the service at the church from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Orem City Cemetery.  Condolences may  be offered to the family online at www.walkersanderson.com .
