Obituary

Nancy Boley Albrecht passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022. She was born in American Fork, Utah, to Elisha Henry Boley and Edna Maud Boley on December 10, 1938, which was her father's 50th birthday.

As a teenager, she played a clarinet in the American Fork High School Band and the piano in a dance band. She attended BYU for one year and then worked as a stenographer for the FBI in Salt Lake for four years, where she lived in Brigham Young's home, the Beehive House.

She married Sterling Albrecht on June 15, 1961, in the Salt Lake Temple, where they were sealed by Elder Gordon B. Hinckley. They were happily married for 61 years.

After Sterling graduated from the U of U, they made their home in San Mateo, California for four years where a daughter and son were born. Their young family returned to Utah in 1966 after Sterling began to work at the BYU library. Two more sons were born in Provo.

As the children were growing up, the Albrecht family enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, and traveling to see new sights from coast to coast.

Throughout her life, Nancy has served in many church callings, beginning at the age of 13 as a ward Primary pianist.

She and her husband, Sterling, served on a mission in the Europe Central Area Office in Frankfurt, Germany, from 2005 to 2007.

Nancy Enjoyed working with her husband doing various activities such as refinishing furniture, family history research and preforming temple work for their ancestors.

Nancy spent 23 years teaching hundreds of kids and adults how to play the piano and love music.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Sterling, her daughter, Melanie (Darin) Oviatt, her three sons, Craig (JoAnne), Brent (Lyn), Todd (Audry), 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be help on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 11:00 am at the LDS meeting house: 865 W. 1000 N. Orem, UT. A viewing will be help from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at the Orem City Cemetery.
