On Monday, May 7, 2018, Nancy Lynn Adams Pyne, 70, of Pleasant Grove, Utah, beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, died unexpectedly from complications related to a sudden illness. Nancy was born in Payson, Utah on April 30 th , 1948 to Richard and Naomi (Shepherd) Adams. She is the proud big sister to five younger brothers and three sisters. She grew up with a love of singing and playing the piano. She is a graduate of Orem High School where she was a Cheerleader and a member of the Tigerettes. It was there that she met her sweetheart, Clifton Vern Pyne. The two were married in the Salt Lake Temple in November of 1968 and later had five children. Over the years, they made their home in several states and finally made their way back home to Utah. Nancy is a proud descendent of 'Mormon' pioneers and was always happy to call Utah home. Through their travels Nancy met many people and always made a big impact on each community she lived in. She was an influence for good and known to be kind, witty, and faithful. She never met a stranger and made an effort to help everyone feel loved. She had a special gift for seeking out the ones who needed a hand to hold, or those who needed to borrow her strength. She had a wonderful listening ear and many call her name blessed for the positive impact she had on their lives. Since her passing, many have commented that her place in heaven is sure, for she was already an angel on earth. Nancy was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served diligently in many callings within the church. She particularly loved her service in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. When not serving, her hobbies included reading, music, visiting the beach, baking, and watching baseball, especially her Washington Nationals. Her greatest love however, was her family. She was a tireless supporter of all the things her children and grandchildren pursued. She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 50 years, Clifton Vern Pyne; her mother Naomi (Shepherd) Adams; children Nannette (Darin) Newbry, Clifton (Christine) Pyne, Amy (Ken) Morgan, Melissa (Marco) Delgado, and Dustin (Crystal) Pyne; 17 grandchildren, three grandchildren by marriage, and one great-granddaughter.
