Nathan Elden Peaden was born September 18, 1984, to Paul Allan and Julie Brown Peaden in Orange, California, the second child and first son in the family. His birth came unexpectedly three months before his due date, weighing only 2 lbs. 10 oz. His prematurity resulted in a three-month stay in the Children's Hospital of Orange County NICU.

Nathan's life was defined in large measure by the severe cerebral palsy that resulted from his premature birth. As a consequence, his parents, older sister, Rebecca, and younger brothers, Allan and Benjamin, were regularly involved in his care, treatments, and recreation. Favorite family memories include swimming and hiking with Nathan. This pattern of shared lives and service fashioned all their characters and forged bonds of love that will endure throughout the eternities.

Nathan passed away peacefully at home on June 26, 2023. He is loved and remembered by all who knew him, including the staff and students at STEPS, the day program he attended for many years. He is survived by his parents, Paul Allan and Julie Brown Peaden, his older sister, Rebecca (Nate) Scott, and his brothers, Allan William (Katie) and Benjamin Paul (Katelyn).

Funeral Services will be held in his honor at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 1st at 11:00 am in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel at 1674 N 200 W, Orem, UT. A viewing will be held at the same location that morning from 9:30-10:30 am. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Nathan's name to Nathan's day program, STEPS.
