Neils Rudolph Peterson, Jr. passed away on October 14, 2024, spending his last days in Costa Rica. He was 63 years old.
Neils was born on May 27, 1961, to Neils "Rude" and Kathie Call Peterson in Logan, Utah. He has one brother, Richard Brian Peterson.
In 4th grade, Neils moved to Grace, Idaho and attended school in Grace, graduating from Grace High School in 1979. He was on the basketball, football and track teams. He was a student body officer and Mr. GHS. After high school, he attended Utah State University for one year. He married his high school sweetheart, Jill Johnson, in the Logan Temple on July 18, 1980. They have been together for 44 years.
After they were married they moved to Orem, Utah where they still reside. Neils became a father in 1982, with the birth of Luke, and Bree was born in 1987.
He worked in the print industry for many years, then started his own business, Geminix
Massage Therapy. He became great friends with many of his clients and helped them live a
better life physically and mentally.
Neils was known for making people laugh & listening when needed. He was always for the
underdog and willing to help anyone in need. People appreciated him living his true authentic self.
Neils was preceded in death by his father, Neils "Rude" Peterson and step father, Lew Lamb.
He is survived by his wife Jill (Johnson) Peterson, children: Luke (Sammy) Peterson and Bree (Brad) Ericksen . Grandchildren: Jack, Charlie, Lola, & Vivian Peterson; Haven, Ryder & Kannon Ericksen. He is also survived by his mother Kathie Call Lamb and his brother Richard Peterson and two step brothers & five step sisters.
There will be a "Celebration of Life" open house on Saturday November 2, 2024, from 4:00 - 7:00 at Walker-Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, Utah.
Neils spent his last two weeks spending time with his family by attending games, dance
performances & vacationing in Costa Rica.
