Obituary

In Loving Memory of

Patricia Lynn (Pallot) Wilkinson

September 26, 1964 - July 8, 2026

Patricia Lynn (Pallot) Wilkinson, beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and Nonna, returned to our father in heaven on July 8, 2026. She was born September 26, 1964 in Cook County, Chicago, Illinois to George Ronald Pallot and Bonnie Jean (Hoy) Pallot. She was married and sealed for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple on June 23rd, 1987 to Michael Kent Wilkinson.

She is loved and remembered as being a homemaker, family historian, genealogical investigator, dancer, and beloved friend. She had a love for helping people. She learned sign language in high school to help working with the multiple-handicapped, which she also taught to each of her children, so that they could each sign before they could speak. While attending BYU, she used her talents working for Crisis Line as the scheduler and on the phones, aiding and lifting up those at their lowest points.

She truly was a beacon of light and hope to all around her. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Family Science, with an emphasis in Social Work. She also loved ballroom dance, and danced her way onto the BYU Ballroom “1 o’clock” backup team. She later shared her love of dance with her husband and her children. Tricia used her knowledge from school and from the gospel of Jesus Christ to provide a loving home to her children and shared that love with any and all she talked to. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, converted at the age of 14, where her faith shaped the way she lived and served. She built lasting friendships through her church community and was always eager to welcome, encourage, and uplift those around her.

Because of her love for the community that she found and built up over the years, and utilizing her tremendous investigative and deductive reasoning talents, she dove head-first into family history (or as her kids called it, working on her ‘dead people’). She spent countless hours on the phone with her mother, searching for and finding extended family in various parts of the world, alive and dead, including her beloved Italy. She taught herself to read Italian so she could understand the various documents, records, etc., to find her long-lost relatives. She developed a network of ‘cousins’ across the United States and in other countries, including many in Italy. Ultimately, she and her mother were able to track their family history back over 15 generations, preparing thousands of names to receive the blessings of the temple. She also selflessly used her talents to help others find their ancestry and mentored any and all who were in need of help.

She met her husband, Michael, while at Brigham Young University (BYU) in the ward she attended. She served as the Appointment Scheduler for the Bishop, and met Michael while setting up his appointment. She had somehow known, since high school, that she would marry a man named Michael, and those that knew her never questioned her faith or her resolve. As time passed, they grew closer in both heart and spirit and were sealed in the Jordan River Temple on June 23,1987. After getting married, they worked together on a BYU grounds crew, and later on, she took a summer evening shift at IBM, where Michael worked part-time during the day while attending BYU, to help support their growing family.

No matter who she met, each could tell you that she had a heart big enough for everyone and welcomed all with open arms. She could talk to anyone, give advice on anything, and make you smile without fail. Anyone who knew her knew she gave the best hugs, uplifted those around her, and wouldn’t let you leave hungry physically or spiritually. She knew what you needed before you needed it, and would let you know it in her own special way, guided by her faith in Jesus Christ.

She was fiercely competitive and loved to play board games and watch TV. She loved to learn new things and go an inch deep and a mile wide on a variety of topics including various home improvement strategies and life hacks. She loved to organize, plan, and sew and had a whole room dedicated to her hobbies and all of the projects she was working on. She will be sorely missed, remembered always, and cherished forever by those whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her loving husband Michael Kent Wilkinson, her parents George Ronald Pallot and Bonnie Jean (Hoy) Pallot, her brothers Doug Pallot and Craig Pallot, and her sister Joan (Pallot) Willyerd. Her legacy lives on in her 7 children; Laura, Jessica, Melissa, Thomas, Mikayla, Kestra, and Anna, as well as her 11 grandchildren; Aaron, Audrey, Adelynn, Matthew, Nicole, Kaitlyn, Daniel, Evelyn, Alex, Taylor, and Paige, in addition to her future daughter-in-law Selena, and sons in law Eric, Kenneth, and Joseph.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 17 at 1 pm at 1120 East 600 North Orem, Utah 84097. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. There will also be a viewing the night before from 6 pm to 8 pm at the same address (July 16th). The burial will follow the funeral services at the Orem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we believe that Patricia would have wanted to share her love of family history and genealogy with you - and would have you carry that love forward. Speak to a relative, do some genealogy work, take names to the temple, or write your own memories down for future generations to find.
