Patsy May Skinner Zamora was born November 5, 1933 to Jesse Skinner and Melda Barker Skinner in Provo, Utah. She attended Provo District Public Schools. She married Leonard D. Rasmussen January 8, 1949. Together they had two children, Douglas and Denise. They later divorced.
She later married Arthur Lloyd Zamora August 5, 1978. They spent 38 years together before he passed away on June 24, 2016. Together they enjoyed fishing, camping and worked together as camp ground hosts for the US Forest Service.
Patsy loved shopping at thrift stores for beautiful pieces of green, pink, blue and crystal items and other trinkets and treasures. She loved befriending people and has made many lifelong friends. She loved to eat out, listen to country western music, dance, sing, league bowling for over 40 years and liked to make others laugh. Most precious of all was her family. She loved talking and bragging about her grandchildren, greats and great greats. Oh, how she loved them and they will miss her deeply. We love you grandma "Z".
She is survived by her daughter Denise (Ed) Sanderson, stepdaughter, Sandra Kruitmoes, stepsons, Leon (Tracy Zamora), Mike (Laura) Zamora, 32 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Douglas, five siblings: Ada Hoover, Harold Steele, Ralph Steele, Larry Steele, and Dean Skinner. A granddaughter Edie Sanderson, and four stepchildren: Steven, Ronnie, Troy and Sherri Zamora.
The family would like to thank the staff, management and residents of Spring Gardens Senior Living Center for the loving care they have given to Patsy for the last year. She often mentioned how much she enjoyed the care given and the relationships she shared. She especially enjoyed the CNA's.
